Beware! I advise anyone planning on visiting this park to review previous reviewers; they are all basically correct in their analysis. We came in for 1 week. We were told the site we wanted would be $30 per day. When we arrived, we ended up paying $39 per day. Do not believe he gives any discounts, i.e., Escapees. He states "the discount has already been adjusted." Nothing seems to work in this park: the laundry is broken, the free telephone doesn't work, the computer for use doesn't have a keyboard, and Mrs. Fudge is no longer around. The only good thing about this park is the excellent beach on Lake Superior across the road. It is a shame this park isn't maintained. I advise anyone wanting to visit Marquette to go to the excellent tourist park in town. Sorry Ranger for the poor review but indeed you are strange and are dishonest when quoting camp fees. I rate this a 2 and not a 1 because of the beach. NOTE: Campground fees are not on the web page nor even posted at the campground.

We love this park. This was our 3rd visit over several years. Since our last visit 50 amp service has been added to several sites, a very nice new building added, housing the bathrooms, laundry and office. We made a reservation about 2 weeks before arrival and got a 30 amp waterfront site. Great for watching the huge ships coming to and from the Soo locks. Also a great view of watching seaplanes take off and land. Our site was level and very large as is most sites. Do not believe there are any sites with sewer. Very few if any bugs or flies!! We definitely will visit here again and it's a bargain at $27 per night.

Since we were here only overnight we selected a back-in with water and electric only. We parked in a site at the back of park where we had an excellent view of the valleys and mountains in the distance. Problem: we could not level our 35' motorhome. It was low on driver's side and in the back. The pull-through sites looked better but we probably couldn't get satellite reception. The pool was open and being used: looked very nice. This park was easy to find, just off the interstate. We had no highway noise at our site. We will stay here again: in pull-through site.

We stopped for 2 days to tour the Duluth area. This was a good short-stopover for us. We were assigned site 36 with electricity, but found it had no water, so we were offered site 34 with water & electricity which we took. Mistake! Could not level the motorhome and the water was merely a hose lying on the ground from an adjacent site. Also discovered that in heavy rains, this site floods. However, the park was otherwise okay. It was clean and sites were fairly large. Other sites appeared to be level and trees offered some shade. Roads in park were gravel and in fair shape. Would stay again for short period. Cell phone, air card and satellite reception were good.

Camp fee reflects Golden Age discount. We were greeted at the entrance station by about 20 Bison who took their time crossing the road. The Park Service is repairing the road inside the park and it was VERY dusty. Our intent was to stay here one night to tour the north T.R. National Park, which we did. We selected a nice site in Juniper that was level and had some shade from a Cottonwood. Had satellite reception buy no cell phone/air card. (We did have cell phone reception outside the campground). Great scenery inside the campground, and very quiet during day and night. We did not have to have A/C during our stay. Would stay here again.

Nice park that accommodated our needs for 3 days. It was very convenient to town and shopping and, access to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Most of the sites are grass with 30 amp electric and water hookups. Recent improvements however added 50 amp service; and our site did have a level asphalt drive. Also Wi-Fi is up and running. Beautiful view of Lake Superior and Grand Island for those close to the water. Good sand beach to walk on but it's narrow, and the swimming area has small pebbles. We did not use or rate bathrooms/showers. We will stay here again.

This was a very convenient park for an overnight stay while our coach was being serviced at Cummins. The park is mostly asphalt with some grass behind sites or, in some cases, between sites. This is important for our dogs! Since the park is downtown scenery is nil. Aesthetics is important to us. The park was very clean, and laundry was good but was hot inside; no fans or A/C. Our site had a parking place next to our motorhome but we had plenty of space. Wal-Mart and other shopping is fairly close. We will stay here again for short stays.

We stayed here for 3 nights as it was the closest park to the Beartooth Scenic Byway. The staff was very friendly and informative. This campground has an upper level with pull-through and back-in Water and Electric sites (50 amp service, no shade) and river-side sites with mostly 30 amp service. We elected to stay on the upper level where we could get satellite reception. The campground is well maintained as the owner has put in a lot of sod and gravel. However, we did have difficulty in leveling and had to move from site 6 to site 4. We never could get "real" level" however. The upper sites are very narrow. The lower ones appear to be somewhat larger. The prime sites on the lower level back up to the river. Overall, the park is very attractive because of its location south of town and there are great views in all directions. We will return here again.

Price includes taxes. What we liked about this park is its convenience, out-in-the-country setting and the friendliness of the owners. We had a "pull-through" site with full hookups (50 amp) so we could get satellite reception. And yes, cell phone/air card. Out our front window about 100' away we could see the corn field, ready for picked' in a couple of weeks. We did buy 5 lb of freshly harvested potatoes from the owner ($3). Plenty of grass for the dogs as well as us humans. Roads were dirt but because of rains, not dusty. Yes, we'd stay here again and you can't beat the price! Don't think the owners are charging enough.

Can't believe this is not in database. We found this campground in Woodall's, and that's where the stats came from. Very large grassy sites, at least 50' wide and all pull-throughs. Can take largest of rigs. Campground is consists of a rectangular matrix of roads spaced about 300 ft apart. Medium sized trees are planted down the center to isolate campsite from next row. Some seasonal residents. Great cell phone, satellite and air card reception. This is an excellent stopover and only 2 miles off US 2. Our site fee was for W&E, 30 amp service. Full hookups available with 50 amps service.

This was an OK park for the 4 nights we were there. We did not have 50 amp service on our site but did have W&S. The steep access road was VERY dusty and covered the rear of our coach and tow in it--yet NO washing rigs!!! Our site was not on the river but did look across to picturesque mountains across the river. Also, we do not agree with previous reviewers on the site sizes: we had ample room to negotiate around the park. In fact, a 45' Prevost parked across the street while we were there. The campground is quiet (no parties, etc) and many of the rigs along the river belong to people working in Yellowstone NP. We would stay here again for short stays. There is only one other CG in the town. We enjoyed the scenery at and around the park. We also enjoy the small western towns such as Gardiner. Great scenery between Gardiner and Mammoth Hot Springs.

Many people have told us about this campground, all very favorable. We made a reservation for 6 nights and asked for a back-in with full hookups. We were NOT disappointed in our stay, in fact, it exceeded our expectations. First, the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We were assigned site #36. As with surrounding sites, our site was plenty large enough for our 36' motorhome and tow. Roads are paved and site aprons are hard-packed gravel bordered by concrete. Our patio was asphalt and the remaining portion of our site was covered with very nice grass, all of which is well maintained. The entrance to our site and most others have small (18') aspens and/or small pines. Trees do not create a problem when entering the site. We had excellent cell phone and satellite reception, although they do have cable. Also, we were given "tickets" to log on their Wi-Fi but we use an "air card" and had good reception for this also. This park is within walking distance of downtown, and only 3 blocks from the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center which we definitely recommend visiting. (It is a non-profit habitat for the animals plus an interpretation center). We rate this resort a "10" based on our needs and will definitely stay here again. The price may seem steep however it is cheaper than several other private campgrounds nearby that offer much less.

This was our 3rd visit to Buffalo but first at this park. We stopped overnight, on way to Yellowstone. We had best site in campground (others didn't want to unhook toads), had satellite reception, shade and great view. Also, nice grassy site. Hosts were very polite and accommodating. Only complaint is dusty access road covering toad and back of MH. As usual, "no washing of vehicles" permitted. Someday, owners will understand that RVers need to wash their vehicles!! We will stay here again, there is so much to see and do in Buffalo.

This park was VERY busy and getting into the park from the main road may be difficult because of back-ups waiting to register. The staff were very polite, efficient and accommodating. The park is well maintained but overcrowded in the back-in area. However, the "big rig" area was much nicer and all were pull-throughs, but,the next door neighbors sewer hookup was practically under our picnic table. This appeared to be true on all sites. The Buffalo Bill Historic Site and Museum (a MUST TO SEE!) is within walking distance.

Very nice campground, with great views of mountains and lake. There are walking trails along lake and marsh area where we saw mama moose and baby resting in marsh. Roads are paved and sites gravel-no dust. Sites are large and we had 50 amp service. The main drawback is that we had were very high winds, making it difficult to sit outside, as it was also cool. If winds died down, we then had problems with mosquitoes. However, we would come here again. There is great fishing in the area and boating on the lake. There is a boat launch at the campground.

Located on the Madison River, this campground is quite close to town for shopping convenience. Great forest scenery with very large, private sites. Numerous big rigs here. We rate this campground high as we prefer electricity only. In spite of trees surrounding the sites, we had good satellite and Verizon air card reception. Cel phone access however, was problematic. Rate quoted is based on Golden Age Passport. Stayed here 4 nights and would definitely stay here again.

This is our 4th visit to this park. Why? Very large grassy sites with full hookups, great satellite and cell phone reception and great people including the hosts. Also, it's only 1/4 mile from the highway so it's very quiet-and dark at night to star-gaze!. Really convienent to the neat town of Custer and only a mile to the west entrance to Custer State Park (a must place to visit). We love the area with its rock formations and drives thru the State Park. We will visit here again when out west.

We love Cabella's and this was on our way to Custer. Most sites are pull-thrus with full hookups, 50 amps. Very well maintained campground but most sites in the open so not much privacy. Great place to land a day or two and shop the area, especially at the campgrounds' namesake. Will stay here again.

What a pleasant surprise! We pulled in off the Interstate not knowing what to expect. We were assigned a sight overlooking the lake and day use area, and were close to the bathrooms. Nice beach and swimming area. Lots of shade butunseasonably hot (not the fault of the campground) However, we had good 50 amp service. Only fault we have (not the fault of the campground) is we have to pay 2 park-use fees, one for the motorhome and one for the toad. (campsite was actually $19)This is common in the northern states, which is why we normally don't stay at State Parks. Rationale is both have motors! We definitely will stay here again as an overnighter.

We normally do not stay at KOA's as we feel they are overpriced-hence the 9 rating. However, we checked into this campground for 2 days and eventually re-registered for an additional 2 days. A great campground, close to everything we wanted and very well landscaped and maintained. Nice walkway to the dock leading out on the river. We definitely will stay here again. A nice pert was if we registered for 2 nights we got a free night at another owners' park, which we used in the Wilmington KOA. That park was nice also.
